PHD Studies - Interdisciplinary PhD Studies at the Polish Academy of Sciences. Information technologies: research and their interdisciplinary applications

We kindly inform you that the ICS PAS in partnership with SRI PAS and IBBE PAS offers national and international internships for doctoral students, young scientists and young doctors (postdocs) in the project "Information technology: research and their interdisciplinary applications."

Each of the trainee receives a scholarship up to 3500 PLN (for MA) and 4500 PLN (for postdocs).
In the case of foreign internships scholarship amounts to 6000 PLN.

Offered three-monthly national internships:

"New methods for model checking hybrid systems" - prof. Wojciech Penczek, ICS PAS
"Method for Random Subset Regression" - prof. John Mielniczuk, ICS PAS
"Monitoring data sets using the methods of Statistical Process Control (SPC)" - prof. Olgierd Hryniewicz, SRI PAS
"The Method of Maximum Likelihood on Data Streams" - Prof. Szymon Jaroszewicz, ICS PAS
"Implementations and Theoretical properties of Efficiently computable grammar-based codes" - Dr. Luke Dębowski - ICS PAS

Information about scholarship

We are pleased to inform you that the project ‘Information technologies: research and their interdisciplinary applications’ within the frames of the Human Capital National Cohesion Strategy, within the framework of the priority IV ‘Higher education and science’ has been continued. The project is carried out under the partnership agreement by the project leader – the Institute of Computer Science of Polish Academy of Sciences in partnership with the Systems Research Institute and the Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of Polish Academy of Sciences. The financial support of national (scholarship in amount up to 4500 PLN) and foreign (scholarship in amount up to 6000 PLN) internships for young scientists up to 35 years of age is one of the project’s tasks. Internships take place in partnership institutes or after completing tasks within the project frameworks in one of the these units, in the selected national or foreign centers.
Open competition for the above mentioned internships are ongoing.
The Competition Commission of the project is responsible for making the final decision regarding the amount of the granted scholarship and the length of the internship.

The Scientific Council of the Institute of Computer Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences has approved educational program for the PhD Studies carried out within the frameworks of the project ‘Information technologies: research and their interdisciplinary applications’ in partnership with the Systems Research Institute and the Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of Polish Academy of Sciences, under the agreement nr UDA.POKL.04.01.01-00-051/10-00, on 15th December, 2011.
